i need some information,

last week i`ve bought a mod-ps2 with neo2 an dvd region x,
now, i want to know some facts about making backups.....

1. do i still have to patch a ntsc game, even when i use the dvd region x and a rgb-cable?

2. what`s the ea-swap or something else ??

3. what`s about the thing called dvd-rip???
do i need it to backup a game which comes along on a dvd?
i thought it isn`t possible to burn a dvd.....

and how do i use it ?????

i have got the clonecd and cdrwin,
which programm is the best for backups?????

i would be very glad if someone could help me, cause i am new to this stuff......
