copying FF9 (UK PAL) using a mac

I've extracted FF9 using CD-copy and tried to burn it using Toast 4.02, but the file sizes are now more than 650 MB.
What's going on?
Do I need a patch? How do I get one? How do I patch it?
Please, somebody help me!
