Game Disc Error

Could someone please help? I don't have anything extra on my playstaion, it's not an import or anything, no mod chips, nothing. I haven't hurt the thing even a little bit.. other than keeping it on for a while. But, I get this error:

Everytime I turn it on, it goes to the menu like there's no playstation 2 game in there. I go to "browser" and it accesses the memory card, but it always says: "GAME DISC ERROR."

Ultimately.. I CAN'T PLAY MY PLAYSTATION 2 GAMES! I really need help. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
