cdrwin and no mod chip

i went to sgt-dan.com and downloaded a couple ps2 games. i followed the read me file for ready2rumble2. i made a copy, but i'm not sure if i did it right in cdrwin. i don't know if i put in the correct data it needed. i clicked on FILE BACKUP AND TOOLS like the read me said to use. the 2 fields i'm not sure about are IMAGE FILE NAME and DIRECTORY FILE NAME. i then used the disc i made and swapped it with the gs2 1.0. it wouldn't load. i then tried holding down reset and letting go when it says to insert game and press x, but the door didn't open. i tried 3 times. i don't have a mod chip. i'm waiting for one that requires no soldering. can someone explain how to use cdrwin. thanks for your time and efforts!
