Trainer Modifications?

Hello. New to the site. ^_^

I'm curious; is it possible to modify existing trainers for different values? For example, my keyboard has no num keys, and therefore pretty much every trainer out there is useless to me. I'd like to be able to modify existing trainers so I can change the hotkeys to something usable.

And if it IS possible, how would I go about doing this?
