Apart from not needing to prat about with patches, if you use clonecd to copy say a PC safedisk game (Not that I would of course
 , you will be able to download updates etc, which will work because you have not changed the executable files. If you patch, you will have to wait for someone to crack the updates.Clone is also quick and easy, you can also patch the binaries. If it works for your hardware try it out.
