need some psx help!

I just bought the ps-x-change boot disc to play my backups with,but now I can't use my gameshark CDX because it tells the psx to reboot,and you can't put the bootdisc in then the game it just goes stupid.I was wondering if there is a way to hack the CDX program so that it does not reboot?
