X-Com:Terror from the Deep PSX PALtoNTSC HELP!!!

Total newbie, but I've been desperately trying to convert a PAL copy of X-Com:Terror from the Deep ( the sequel which was never released in North Am) so it will run on my NTSC PSX. I've tried Zapper 2K, PAL4U, and a couple of other converters to no avail, and the closest we've come is with an international boot disk, but even then, the Y axis is off. Has anyone done this before, or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for reading.
