UK PS2 backups - Please advise...

I hope that if U R reading this then U might B able to help me. Recently purchased a UK PS2 and now I want to make backups of my games. All the early games are on CD's so I should be able to copy them with the right software, or so I've heard. Can somebody please advise me as to what copying software I need & where I can obtain a copy of it! Thanks!!
