Aside from recompresing bik files, there is also 307 ogg files (431 MB) in "data\music\Ambient".
You can reduce bit-rate to 160 and gain additional 246 MB of free space,
thus making just enough room for the patch.

Empire Earth III
DVD9 to DVD5 Conversion

1. Copy the entire DVD to a folder called EE3.

2. Download and install Rad Video Tools.

3. Download and install CyberPower Free MP3/WMA/OGG Converter.

4. Download ee3.zip and extract to EE3 folder. Overwrite when asked.

5. Run extract.bat to extract movies (bik) and music (ogg) files.

6. Run convert_movies.rlst and click on Start button to batch convert all the movies using Rad Video Tools.

7. Using CyberPower Free MP3/WMA/OGG Converter convert the music:

- open the program
- add all the files from "EE3\data\music\Ambient"
- Export Format: .ogg
- Settings > Preset Quallity > Hi-Fi Quallity, 160 kbps, Stereo
- Convert > Output Folder: Same as input file

8. Once the files have been converted, run rename.bat to delete the original files and rename the converted files.

9. Run compress.bat to create new cab files that will contain the converted files.

10. Run cleanup.bat to remove un-needed files.

11. Make a new folder for the patch, crack and serial.

12. Burn the contents of EE3 folder to a DVD using any label.

If you followed this step by step there shouldn't be any problems.
