I've had the same problem and after several resolution changes and various drivers revisions I came up to this conclusion :
the problem is bound to the refresh rate, disable any refresh rate overriders (resulting unfortunately in 60Hz gameplay) and it will work ok.
You can also try to play with various game resolutions but for me after I disabled refresh rate fixers (like ATI Tools inbuild one) the game works normally.
But I must admit - it has several bugs (GH III is ok) like audio de-synchronization when playing a long sonk (like Livin' on the Edge).
