XP not recognizing WD Passport
Hi.
I am having problems. I am trying to connect a WD Passport to my laptop, but nothing is really happening. Well, almost nothing...the blue light on the side of the Passport lights, so it's getting at least some power. I don't think it's getting an inadequate power level, because I successfully connected a different Passport a few weeks ago. An error message appeared briefly stating that windows did not successfully install the new hardware. The thing that make me think that this is a software/driver issue is: Over the past few weeks, while I have a ligitech gaming pad connected, a notification appears claiming that th device would perform faster if connected to a hi-speed USB port...which is bollocks, all four of my ports are USB 2.0. Any ideas?
