I just don't understand..

Used cdrwin to create a image of dino crisis (yes.. old game), patched it (and received a ok), and burned the image onto a cd-r. When I boots the cd, i gets the 'cheat selection/intro', but the game freezes at the 'violence in this game' screen.. ? Any help..?
