Battlefield 2142 Install Error

I'm having an issue installing this game onto my computer. I'm running Vista, but I know that other people have had little or no problems playing it on Vista. I doubt that is the problem. Anyway, when I put the disk in, the autorun starts and the little menu pops up asking my if i want to look at the read me or EAsy or choose install. I click install, and after about .5 seconds I get this message:

An error (-5003 : 0x20) has occurred while running the setup.
Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications.
If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor: EA Games.

What is going on?? I have no idea what would cause this. I'm hoping it's not a faulty disk. I would greatly appreciate anyone's help.
