Jap PS2 and US Backups??

I have the SCPH-10000 and wanted to know if I used FARGO and put an ORIGINAL Japanese PS2 game in my computer to get the boot information and then burned my US Image using that data could I use that ORIGINAL Jap game to swap trick with my backed up US image or do I need to use an ORIGINAL US PS2 game to get my boot information since the .BIN file is US? I havent been able to get a single game to work with the swap.....also, I ordered a mod from www.mod-chip.com and wondered if I can play US backups with that also. Sorry so long but I am at a loss (
