Yeah another slowing cause is the constant HD access as it tries to defrag in real time.
What a useless idea that is lol And any file movement, be it copy and pasting etc takes longer under vista as it checks every single bit of data when shifting around. And recent updates has removed the fix for that (their own fix I may add!)
