This has only happened since Vista im guessing?
I had a problem once with a Sapphire ATI card of a customers recently, and it wouldnt install Vista it kept BSODing during the video detection phase of the installation. It was the PSU, but it all had to do with the current levels going through the 12V rails. Its as if Vista is sucking the power from PSU's, which cant be right, or is Vista forcing other hardware to require more power for operation. I still havent figured it out yet. But as soon as I tried with a heavy duty PSU it worked.
