Godfather wont start

someone else was having this problem earlier but i just wanted to post this to let ppl know my problem and maybe someone can help me fix it. I got the game a few days ago and it starts fine but when i try using a NO CD or NO DVD or any crack for that matter when i start the game nothing comes up but a windows error saying godfather.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows and ive tried every crack i could find, then when i use the image to mount along with the original exe the EA splash screen comes up but closes after a second or 2 with or without using sd4hide. could someone please throw out some suggestions? i looked at EAs support page and didnt find any help there, my video card is supported and i have the latest drivers. could maybe there have been some crazy problem while i was installing and i should reinstall? please help me, it would be much appreciated
