Jack The Ripper - funny CD check
Hi. It's me again, the Old Game Crack Requestor. My next wish is:
Jack The Ripper To anyone who dares challenge this game - it has virtually NO protection - 'cept the dumb, irritating CD check. Jack.exe cannot be run directly, it refuses to function. The only way to run it is through Launcher.exe - and the Launcher file asks for CD. No surprises here, because Jack.exe is located in the root directory of the CD and is not installed with the game - it has to be copied manually. But even when I do this, Launcher.exe still requires the CD and when the disc is inserted, it runs Jack.exe from the CD. Can anyone make the file use the Jack.exe copied into the game folder? Attachment: Launcher.exe Jack.exe ----------------------------------------------- Oh, and by the way - I am a proud owner of the original game release, not some warez crap. |
