sniper elite+ STARFORCE a real nightmare need help.

hi all,

i recently was able to acquire a dirt cheap copy of sniper elite form a large grocery store in a video game bargain bin.

i installed the game and i was asked to put in my serial number in the starforce window wich i did...but lo and behold when i try to start the game starforce will not read the cd...i did it an uninstall and install many times thinking it was just a cd glitch...the game started once but i had to close it to get lunch..after i tried to start it again and starforce still does not want to read the disk..

i tought it was a dvd region issue...i tried to chnage the region but it seems complicated...i also tought it might have been because of my alcohol wich was recognized by starforce...after a while i decide to try the no cd patch just in case it overrides the starforce crap....but still it does not want to start..so i uninstalled alchol completely...i downloaded starforce cleaner and i guess it cleaned the pc..

i then again reinstalled the game and it is still doing the disc error thing on me...i am baffled by this and do not understand what is going on...

as anyone been able to deal with this?

starforce seems to be the worst protection crap in the universe..

i hope someone can help me please.

thanks!
