Do No CD crack work on Starforce protected game?

ok ppl this is annoying the hell out of me. The no cd crack for Broken Sword, The Sleeping Dragon doesn't work. I live in the US, and the game is Starforce protected.

I've heard from others that the no cd crack does work, so why would it not work on mine? I thought that it may be because of Starforce protection. Please let me know.
