Online gaming with Matrix Infinity advice please

I've just got my v9 ps2 online, It's fitted with an Infinity chip with firmware version 1.93, I installed it myself including the romeo mod and it works fine. My question is this:

I'm playing online games with my original discs, not backups so the DNAS check is ok, but is it necessary to disable the chip before connecting to the online server or can I just boot the original game with the Infinity still powered up, i.e. what will happen if the game server detects my Infinity?
