Load A DVD onto my computer

Hey guys, long time no see. Is it possible to take a DVD that I legally own (or backup), and load it onto the hard drive of my computer? I have loaded one to try it out, and it comes up with 2 folders (Audio TS / Video TS). I want to basically make my computer a movie server. I will hook it up to my TV using the DVI output. So, basically, I want to get my movies onto my computer, without a loss of resolution, and then play them back on my HDTV. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
