Csi

Ubisoft CSI Crime Scene Investigation:

Win XP Pro SP2, 1 gig ram, XP 1800+cpu, 64mb nvidia vid card, onboard audio, 120 gig HD (80 gig free space) 52 speed cdrom, dvd, latest directx installed, latest shockwave and quicktime installed.

Young grandson has bought the game above, legit version before anyone asks, it installs no problem and loads up with sound but a white square where graphics should be. I checked it out for him on my computer and it seems he needs a sound card for the game to run properly. He has onboard sound on his mobo, I have the same on mine and get the same problem.
Anyone know of a patch to overcome the soundcard problem, or if the other CSI games have the same soundcard requirement to run, perhaps it can be exchanged for another CSI game.
Pretty poor programming when lots of computers are now sold with onboard sound.
