Alcohol 120% and or Daemon Tools trouble

I recently downloaded The Sims Complete Collection virtual image fix and also the Sims 2 fix. I installed Daemon tools v 3.47 on my PC and loaded the images but they don't work. My exe files are still unable to locate the CD rom. Any suggestions? I have the 'unoriginal' cds of The Sims 2, i have the original Sims complete cds. Using a laptop, it worked on my desktop before is there something silly on a laptop i have to configure?
