Dreamcast Virgin

I was given a Dreamcast last week and I'm totally new to the Dreamcast scene.

Can someone give me a rundown of what I can do with it besides play store bought discs?

What is this thing capable of? (I know OF some things, but I understand very little from the Dreamcast's perspective.) Please no posts about searching for myself. That's why I'm here.
