Sorry lufcfan but I wrote the previous post from my experience and I've gave reason why. On the other hand you were talking about modern media and modern burners but you forgot that we're talking about an OLD DVD reader the PS2 (mine 4 years old) and that a decent PC DVD-Drive wouldn't have any problems. If I would have time I'll post a speed graph of my burner at high speed.

PS. My DVD ReWriter is NEC_2510A.
