Chris Hulse (20-11-2001 19:18):
I have just checked a few ps2 games and on the back on some of them are 'dvd rom' and on the back of others are 'compact disc'. Most of the popular games such as GT3, GTA3, FIFA 2002, are 'dvd rom'. Can i copy these onto a 74/80 min CD-R? I also have a Traxdata CD-Writer, will this be able to copy them? I have had no problems with back-ups before.

Thank You
For PS2 CDs, the Traxdata is not ideal, looking at the CloneCD table (www.elby.de). CloneCD is the best copy utility as it deals adequately with EA Games and other protected titles.

To make DVD backups, you'd need a DVD writer (Such as Pioneer DVD A03). Many Forum members are getting this device for the very reason you ask.

The alternative is to rip DVDs to CD. It produces an inferior result but all you need to know will be found on www.ps2ownz.com.
