After reading some of the posts on x-s, it seems that PI is just a hype machine group. Apparently, people have known about this for a good while. Even so, users there already stated that the files are actually signed , just not flagged with the media flag (similar to the xbox media check).

You can swap movies out, in a way it is a standalone movie player. However, I think that is it. Team PI just hyped it like this could be usefull, kind of how they released a "special tool" to read their x360 iso images, which turned out to be the same file structure as the original xbox (so basically the current xbox tools could read the iso as well).
