About Ewould's Sims2 Tutorial
Original Poster: DVT
Post Date: 08-01-2005 I haven't followed ewould's tutorial but reading it, it is no different to the way I did mine and it is the same method as CDSTeam tutorial. The /s stands for single read. Only thing I can say is that I used the Money Crack here and the Disc had to be named Sims2. If the disc was named SIMS2 the game wouldn't run. The /s method works for a couple of other games, I have done a similar thing with NFSU2 instead of remaking the compressed.zip I extracted it to the my DVD Root and adjusted the commonfilelist.txt as follows: 1,1,Cars\*.* /s 1,1,Credits\*.* /s 1,1,Frontend\*.* /s 1,1,Global\*.* /s 1,1,Languages\*.* /s 1,1,Memcard\*.* /s 1,1,Movies\*.* /s 1,1,NIS\*.* /s 1,1,Sound\*.* /s 1,1,Subtitles\*.* /s 1,1,Tracks\*.* /s 1,1,Support\*.* /s 1,1,eauninstall.exe 1,1,NFSU_icon.ico 1,1,SDATA\sdat.viv 1,1,speed2.exe 1,1,00000000.016 1,1,00000000.256 1,1,SafeMode.bat 1,1,Server.cfg 1,1,Server.dll Not only does it seem to install faster but it fills the DVD up abit more!
