I've used both black Memorex and blue Verbatims.
Verbatims are the highest ranked on a 100 brand CDs test made by a well known company. I've NEVER haved had any problem with Verbatim and none I can recall of with Memorex. Choose Verbatim rather than Memorex... just in case. Which burners do you own, guys? I think it also affects which burner was used to burn the media... I use a Plextor.
