CDrecord/Win2k

i upgraded to win 2k and now whenever i try to do anything with cdrecord (even -scanbus) it just says 'access violation, core dump to cdrecord.exe.core' anyone know wtf is up w/this? or.. is there a way to do it with fireburner? i can still use that, please post detailed instructions if so. thanks

just to answer this question for cdrecord and win2k. the reason you're getting that error message is because you probably don't have an ASPI driver installed in your win2k system.

to save you the trouble of searching for an ASPI installer just download ForceASPI(http://www.audiotools.co.uk/downloads/frcasp17.zip)

unzip it and run the batch file INSTASPI.BAT. that should take care of the problems you're having with cdrecord.
