How to make backup disc for Starship Troopers DVD?

Does anyone know how I can backup Starship Troopers, it's a 5.84GB DVD.

I think you can rip out the movie scenes like you do when ripping out extra content from DVD movies but as I have never done this I was hoping that someone could tell me how it's done.

Or if there is a better way to backup the DVD could someone please explain to me how?
