roller coaster tycoon 3 problem

hi i installed roller coaster tycoon 3 (also copied and am using the no cd patch) the problem i am having is when i am playing the game after a time it just crashes out to windows, it also does this if i click end career and return to start screen, does anyone know what my problem could be?
