I have the same ****ing problem and the solution is very easy.
Just place a shortcut on your desktop, select it with your mouz and hold the enter botton for some seconds. This will cause the game to start for about 10 times. Mostly one of these starts is successfull. This is the only method that works. PS:I think the reason for rhis **** is service pack 2.
