Need help with DJ error message - "the media is write protected"

Almost every time I try to make an image file out of a copied game, now, I get that error message... "Error accessing c:\x\gameX.cdi CD image - the media is write protected"

I've dropped the speed down to 1x in hopes that would help, and it hasn't.

What's going on, and how do I fix it? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
