@MontyBurns1985: The Mod patch and PANZERS_MOD.EXE is for when you want to create/install and play mods for the game. I said to include the mod patch to cover all bases, you don't actually need it if you're not going to install mods for the game. Here's what the readme for the Mod patch says:

So you can just ignore the modpatch and use just the PANZERS.EXE to play normal SP/MP or install the modpatch and PANZERS_MOD.EXE to play SP/MP with 3rd party mods applied.
If you install the Official Win64 patch rather than just copy over the 2 EXE's from GCW, it will ask if you want to create a link for the MOD patch as you'll have to create one manually otherwise
As for your savegames going missing, these are OFFICIAL patches so it must be an incompatability of the v1.10 patch and earlier versions of savegames?
