Final Fantasy VII Ultima Version: NEED HELP!

hello since the movie ive been wanting to play the game again but the problem is that when im at bugenhagen (the weird old dude that floats) i have to enter his weirdo 3D machine so then i go up and my chars walk out of cloud and say hey a meteor ok so screen plays the cinematic but then goes back but then nothing happens, I cant control my characters and bugenhagen doesnt say a thing, and im so goddamn pissd about it so does anyone have a solution?
