if i remember this well, the publisher of D-Day uses StarForce 3 for its games, just like AK vs. DR / DR vs. AK...
Maybe it worked for the version 2.14 and they updated the SF3 protection so the MI doesnt work anymore...?
I didnt know it is possible to use just one mini image for SF3

Without SF Nightmare or even this USB2 crap ? Hmmm... i missed something
