A couple media questions

I've backed up most of my DVD5 games to Ritek DVD-R G05 without any problems thanks to the info found on these forums.. Ritek G05 seem to be one of the best to use.

1) Now I have a handful of older PS2 games on CD-ROM but I don't know which media to use for backup. In my PSX days I used good 'ol Verbatim DataLifePlus (blue dye). For the life of me when I go looking for Verbatims now all I find is silver like dye bottoms.. AZO and stuff like that. My question is.. what is good backup media for CD based games without putting to much stress on the laser and where to get them.

2) My second question.. I'm thinking of going to buy GT4 but the media is DVD9 (dual layer). My BenQ 1620 burner only supports DVD+R dual layer burns but I read that +R sucks for PS2. What do I use to backup dual layer discs (without ripping down to DVD5)?? If I must use +R what is the best brand to use?
