As GLH says best keep how you respond to a minimum.. I only responded before due to your attack, im not gonna sit down and take that. 1. I assumed DC++ straight away, then I asked why else would you need it, as in what other reason would you need a small file and for what program. You took this as an attack when it wasnt. 2. Now its a bit more clear when you give us information on the program your using, even if you havent said what its called. But a re-sizing program will not work on a fake file since it isnt the full size. It will cause errors, as its reported to be (using the pic for an example) 160GB but when it tries to compress it only sees 988kb on disk so it wont know what tracks/sectors on the hard disk to look at. 3. The pic itself could be a screenshot from a folder inside a zip archive, where a file or series of files have 0 bytes to that size. Or the more easiest and more probably explanation is the guy took a pic of his folder of a torrent download. Torrent clients set aside space on the HD with empty files that actually look like the full size of a file, but will fill it up eventually, so the 988kb could be what he got so far of the 160GB. Dunno what hes grabbing but must be something silly lol But for the zip example, if you make a file 160gb big mostly 0's inside, and zip it it will compress to a very small size. And Windows Explorer can open these zips and look inside. (if on XP) |
