There are lots of posts about this. It is possible to get a working backup WITHOUT using a USB drive, although this very much depends on your make of DVD Re-Writer and hardware configuration. The Non-USB method only works on 1 of my 4 PC's, and that's because it's using an expensive Plextor Drive. Using an external USB housing is pretty much failsafe, as long as you've got a fairly recent Re-Writer, and a good MDS image file (Many available), but whether you are prepared to pay for one when it's only likely to run with a few Starforce games is another matter. I've tried it on all 4 of my home PC's, and Chaos Theoory, SH3, Scrapland and Trackmania Sunrise all work perfectly.

That's yer lot though, as I'm sure the Starforce developers are P***ING themselves as they wait to unleash the new USB 'Unfriendly' version. I wonder if someone will come up with anohter workaround for that?

Should be interesting finding out.
