Swat 4 ( couple of questions)

I'm playing the game from the original disc !! Actually i installed the crack to see if it helps,but nothing happened...I looked in the game folder for the saves
but i can't seem to find the files(you can't save,the game autosaves after the completion of each mission).
I think that my problem is based on a conflict between two devices of my pc.Maybe the soundcard and the video-card,sharing the same IRQ.But why does SWAT cause it ? Why other games play normally ? And why does it only happen when i quit the game and not during it ? That's what i can't figure out...
