game instalation

I recently made a backup of a few of my original games which were Farcry and Leisure suit Larry:magna cum laude. both are games are 3 cds. I made a direct copy of both of them. When i tried to install it to see if it works, the first cd installs fine but when it asks for the second one, i put it in but it doesn't recognize the 2nd cd. can anyone help me cause i'm kind of new to cd backups.

if possible a direct e-mail reply would be nice too.
