efess, although ur right about quake being the first full 3d game, doom 2 and duke 3d did have several floors in one level...
and also ipx wanst the only online mode, you could dial directly into someone elses modem phone. tbaher, yes the first rts was dune, and then warcraft, but what really shooted rts skyhigh was c&c
