Nhl 2005

just installed nhl 2005 but when i try the crack that from gcw i get a black screen and it doesn't resond

i've read the 'Checkout Machina's 'Fixing Black Screen Problems' Guide'

didn't understand the first few steps
1. Launch your refresh rate fixing sofware

2. UNDO refresh rate fix/forcing- set everyting to default.

3. UNINSTALL THE SUCKER!

4. Restart

but got the rest done

i've even d/l RefreshLock but it still doesn't work

any ideas??
