Jumpy screen at MI setup

Hi,

I have v7 NTSC US PS2 with Matrix Infinity chip.
My TV is NTSC as well.
I've noticed that whenever I go to Matrix related screens, I get a jumpy screen. It happened on MI config screen, firmware upgrade screen, and Infinity Manager screens.
Did anybody else have a similar experience?
Does anybody know the cause of this and how to fix it?
I noticed the same bahavior was observed in some backup games, which are NTSC as well. I'm suspecting that they may be related issue.
