please help question

i am thinking of buying some kind of mod chip (ps2) to play burned games blahblahlbah. Anyway I only have a regular CD burner and when I look at most ps2 torrents its over 1gb. Is there any way to make the ps2 isos to fit so they'll play on my ps2 when i get the mod chip or do i need to get a DVD burner? please help.
