Where did you get the crack from as Im sure many people would be very interested in getting hold of it? What is the name of it? If its not the same name already as the original exe then it sounds like it could be a crack patch!
 Nevermind Ive just noticed its available on GCW! Just replace it with the original file, but backup the original first!
