Xenosaga Kalisto freezes at specific cutscene

I got the Kalisto version of Xenosaga Episode 1, and everytime I get to a cutscene involving Jerusalem 5, the game freezes. It happens every time I see a cutscene with the columns in. The only way to keep going in the game is skip the cutscenes before the columns area is revealed, or else the game gets stuck. It's really strange, because it happens at a specific local during any cutscene that involves it. I tried burning the game twice, and I'm getting the same result. What could I possibly be doing wrong?
